Veronique Oldfield is the Deputy Head of the Division of Nursing and Healthcare at the University of Chester, within the School of Nursing and Midwifery. She holds a Senior Lecturer role and has served in administrative capacities including Deputy Director of Pre-registration Nursing and Senior University Teaching Fellow. Her roles involve strategic management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance in nursing education.

Research Interests: Her doctoral work focuses on Health Visitors' engagement with fathers of children under five, particularly in modern societal contexts. She explores men’s mental health, public health strategies, and the student experience of nurses with disabilities. Her 2017 study examined student health visitors' perceptions of supporting fathers during postnatal depression, highlighting gaps in paternal mental health training.

Teaching & Grants: She teaches on the Non-Medical Prescribing and Pre-registration Nursing programs, covering public health and anatomy. She also serves as an external examiner for the University of Northampton’s Public Health programs. Her professional activities include roles as a Quality Assurance Visitor for the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
