Chantelle Burgess is a Lecturer at the University of Chester's School of Nursing and Midwifery, within the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Society. She holds professional registrations with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) and Specialist Nurse Practitioner in Learning Disability Nursing. She is also an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) and a member of the Royal Society of Public Health (MRSPH).
Education & Training:
- Diploma in Higher Education (Dip HE) in Learning Disability Nursing from University of Chester
- Postgraduate training in Specialist Practice: Public Health – Learning Disabilities (University of Chester)
- Nurse Advocate training (University of Worcester)
Research Interests: Focuses on learning disability nursing, behavioral analysis, and positive behavioral support strategies for individuals with learning disabilities. Her work intersects with public health interventions tailored to this population.
Teaching: Experience includes delivering modules on the BN Nursing program, Specialist Practice Qualification in Public Health (Learning Disabilities), and the Integrated Masters Nursing program.
Affiliations: Active member of the Health and Wellbeing Research and Knowledge Exchange Institute at the University of Chester.
