Veronika Ritt-Benmimoun serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Near Eastern Studies at the University of Vienna, where her research centers on Arabic dialectology with specialized expertise in Tunisian dialects and Bedouin dialect poetry. She actively investigates everyday culture (Alltagskultur) within Arab societies and leads the FWF-Project TUNOCENT, a significant research initiative funded by the Austrian Science Fund.

Her curriculum spans diachronic and synchronic perspectives on Arabic dialects.
