Verner Mitchell

Verner D. Mitchell is a Professor in the Department of English at the University of Memphis. He holds a Ph.D. in English from Rutgers University (1995) and has dedicated his career to studying African American literature, with a particular focus on women writers of the Harlem Renaissance.
