Venugopal Balijepally

Venugopal Balijepally is an Associate Professor of Management Information Systems (MIS) at Oakland University's School of Business Administration. He holds a PhD in Information Systems from the University of Texas at Arlington, alongside a post-graduate diploma in management (MBA) from the Management Development Institute (India), and engineering degrees from IIT Mumbai and Osmania University (India).

His research focuses on software development methodologies, social capital of IT teams, knowledge management, and healthcare informatics, with notable contributions to MIS Quarterly, Journal of International Business Studies, and Journal of the AIS. He has been recognized with awards including the Oakland University Faculty Recognition Luncheon (2023) and multiple SBA Distinguished Service Awards.

His teaching spans database management, systems analysis/design, and IS management. Recent research highlights include predictive models for healthcare risks during the pandemic and analysis of agile development practices. Balijepally's work bridges theoretical insights with practical applications in healthcare operations and IT strategy.
