Vanessa Ferreira

Professor Vanessa Ferreira holds the position of Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine and Kusuma Senior Research Fellow at the University of Oxford. She serves as Deputy Clinical Director of the Oxford Centre for Clinical Magnetic Resonance Research (OCMR) and Honorary Consultant Cardiologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital. Her academic roles include Director of Graduate Studies in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine (CVM) and Deputy Director of Graduate Studies in the Radcliffe Department of Medicine (RDM). She is a Fellow of Lady Margaret Hall College, a member of its Governing Body, and has held leadership roles in the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR), including Secretary Treasurer (2024–2025).

Her research expertise focuses on quantitative cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR), particularly myocardial T1-mapping for non-invasive detection of heart disease.
