Valorie Tatge serves as an Adjunct Music Instructor for cello at Oklahoma Christian University and Southern Nazarene University, bringing over 25 years of experience as a teacher and performer in the Oklahoma City area. She is an active cellist with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Orchestra, Lawton Philharmonic Orchestra, and Norman Philharmonic.
Her artistic interests focus on cello performance across orchestral, chamber, and musical theater settings. She has performed in numerous productions including The Lion King, The Color Purple, and Mary Poppins, and was a member of the New Lyric Quartet (2002-2007). Additionally, she is deeply engaged in music education through the Oklahoma City Cello Project, which she co-founded, and the long-running 'We've Got Rhythm' program that introduces public school students to chamber music.
Valorie maintains a private teaching studio for young cellists in Norman, Oklahoma, and has contributed to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra's Young Strings program. Her dedication to nurturing the next generation of musicians is evident in her two decades of work with youth string programs.
