Valerija Tadić is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Greenwich, affiliated with the School of Human Sciences and the Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences. She completed her PhD in Psychology at Goldsmiths, University of London, and joined Greenwich in 2018 after a decade-long tenure at UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health.

Her research bridges developmental psychology and health services, aiming to enhance the quality of life for children and young people with disabilities and chronic conditions. Key focuses include:
- Wellbeing of children with visual impairment and special educational needs/disabilities (SEND)
- Development and application of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) tailored to children’s perspectives
- Identifying predictive factors and resilience mechanisms influencing quality of life outcomes for visually impaired youth and their families
- Participatory studies on transitioning to adulthood for young people with SEND, integrating insights from parents and affected individuals
Val teaches developmental, health, and clinical psychology across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Her prior roles included Research Associate positions at UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health (2008–2018) and the Institute of Child Health, Neurosciences Unit (2004–2005), alongside seminar-organizing engagements with the Mary Kitzinger Trust charity (2009–2014).
