Dr. Chowdhary’s research and clinical interests lie at the intersection of autoimmunity, inflammation, and precision medicine. She is particularly interested in lupus and its complications, such as lupus nephritis and interstitial lung disease. Her work explores the role of type I interferon signaling, genetic ancestry, and biomarkers in disease severity and treatment response. She is committed to improving early diagnosis and implementing evidence-based practices to prevent life-threatening complications of rheumatologic diseases.
Her recent publications are dominated by high-impact clinical guidelines from the American College of Rheumatology and CHEST, focusing on lupus nephritis and interstitial lung disease. These works emphasize standardized screening, monitoring, and treatment protocols. Other research includes infection risk assessment in immunocompromised patients, genetic predictors of disease severity, and quality improvement in clinical workflows for biologic prescribing. Her work reflects a strong commitment to translating research into practical clinical tools.
- Attending of the Year, Yale Rheumatology Fellows (2020)
