Dr. Vahid Razaviarani is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Heriot-Watt University, serving as the global program director for the MSc Global Sustainability Engineering program and coordinator of the Chemical Engineering Laboratory. He previously held a postdoctoral position at Princeton University and worked at the Edmonton Waste Management Center of Excellence in Canada. His research focuses on sustainability, waste-to-energy processes, and environmental technologies. He actively advises PhD students and contributes to initiatives addressing plastic waste management, biogas potential, and microplastics analysis. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing environmental protection and renewable energy.
