Umrao Sethi is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Brandeis University, specializing in metaphysics, philosophy of mind, philosophy of perception, and early modern philosophy. Her current book project Sensibilia: An Account of Sensory Perception and its Objects is under development during her 2022-2023 fellowship at the National Humanities Center.
Honors include the William J. Bouwsma Fellowship, NEH Fellowship (2022-2023), and Theodore and Jane Norman Fund for Faculty Research (2019-2020). She previously taught at Lehman College, CUNY, and holds a Ph.D. from UC Berkeley and B.A. from Columbia University.
