Ulrich Dobrindt

Univ.-Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Ulrich Dobrindt is a Professor at the Institute of Hygiene within the Medical Faculty of the University of Münster. His research focuses on microbial genome plasticity, antibiotic resistance mechanisms, and pathogenic Escherichia coli strains. His lab (Dobrindt Lab) investigates how bacterial pathogens adapt to host environments and evolve resistance traits, particularly in ExPEC (extraintestinal pathogenic E. coli) and IPEC (intestinal pathogenic E. coli) variants.
