Tyler Sherron is an Assistant Professor in the Biblical & Theological Studies Department at Regent University’s College of Arts & Sciences. His research focuses on the life and thought of Jonathan Edwards, emphasizing the experiential dimension of divine-human relationships. He holds a Th.M. in Historical Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary (2017) and a Ph.D. in Humanities – History of Ideas from The University of Texas at Dallas (2022). He is an ordained minister in a non-denominational, evangelical church.
Sherron has been affiliated with the Evangelical Theological Society (2019–present) and the American Society for Church History (2019–present). His academic achievements include nominations for prestigious awards like the CGS/ProQuest Distinguished Dissertation Award (2023) and the Frank R. Rossiter Book Award (2023). His publications include scholarly articles on Jonathan Edwards’ self-love theory and book reviews analyzing contemporary theological works.
Beyond academia, Sherron enjoys woodworking, cooking, and chess. He resides in Chesapeake with his family, exploring local culture while adapting to life outside Texas.
