Tuuli Wohlström is a Postdoctoral Researcher and Visiting Scholar at the Faculty of Law, University of Helsinki, where she actively contributes to legal scholarship with a focus on constitutional law and European integration. She is currently participating in the DIVSOL (Diversity in Society and Life) research project funded by the Academy of Finland, which runs from 2025 to 2030 as part of the Research Council of Finland's PROFI program.
Dr. Wohlström's research interests center on constitutional law, with particular expertise in constitutional pluralism, European integration processes, and Nordic legal systems. Her work examines how constitutional frameworks operate across national boundaries in the Nordic region, challenging conventional court-centered approaches to European integration.
Her primary scholarly contribution is the 2025 doctoral thesis titled 'Europe Beyond the Courts: Constitutionalism, Pluralism and Integration in the Nordic Countries,' which provides a comprehensive 514-page analysis of constitutional development beyond traditional judicial mechanisms in the Nordic context. This work represents a significant theoretical contribution to understanding how constitutional norms evolve across national boundaries.
As a participant in the DIVSOL project, Dr. Wohlström collaborates with an extensive interdisciplinary research team across the University of Helsinki. The project's scope suggests her work intersects with broader social and institutional dimensions of legal diversity and integration.
