Marta Maroni is a postdoctoral researcher at the Legal Tech Lab and the Erik Castrén Institute of International Law and Human Rights at the University of Helsinki. She holds a PhD in Constitutional Law (with distinction) and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Perugia.

Her research focuses on constitutional law, digital governance, and internet rights, with a particular emphasis on digital constitutionalism, social media regulation, and transparency in platform governance. Recent projects include analyses of the Digital Services Act and the role of courts in shaping digital rights frameworks.
Maroni has collaborated on interdisciplinary projects such as Is This Public or Private? – A Study of the Philosophical Foundations of European Privacy Regulation and Transparency in the EU - From Reaction to Manifesto?, presenting at conferences like the Digital Constitutionalism Network Conference and Digital Legal Talks.
