Tristan Miller is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Manitoba, leading the Computational Linguistics at Manitoba (CLAM) Lab. His research focuses on computational linguistics, natural language processing, and humor analysis. He holds academic affiliations with institutions like the Austrian Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence (OFAI) and has contributed to projects like the JOKER Lab at CLEF.
His work emphasizes lexical semantics, historical online corpora, and the computational detection/translation of wordplay. He organizes workshops on computational humor (CHum, JOKER) and serves as an editor for journals like Humor and European Journal of Humour Research.
