Trish Salah is an Associate Professor in the Department of Gender Studies at Queen's University's Faculty of Arts and Science. Her research examines transgender literature, cultural production, postcolonial theory, and psychoanalysis, with emphasis on diasporic Arab identity, anti-racism, and queer politics. She received the Lambda Literary Award for Transgender Fiction for her poetry collection Wanting in Arabic.
Current projects include Towards a Trans Minor Literature exploring trans, genderqueer, and Two-Spirit writing, and Lyric Sexology, Vol. 2 analyzing colonial sexology archives through poetry. Her work intersects transnational transgender studies with critiques of feminism and psychoanalysis.
