Trask Roberts is an Assistant Professor of French and Translation at Kent State University's College of Arts and Sciences, specializing in modern French literature and translation studies with particular emphasis on self-translation and autobiographical narratives. He teaches courses in translation theory, praxis, and French language and literature.

His research examines the intersections of self-translation and autobiography among 20th-century Francophone authors. Current projects include the monograph What I Mean Is... analyzing self-writing practices in author-translators. Roberts previously served as visiting scholar at University of Paris VII and maintains an active presence through his personal website. His work engages with broader themes of linguistic identity and cross-cultural representation.
