Tracy McGinnis is a Senior Lecturer and Senior Music Performance Faculty in Bassoon at Wellesley College, with a career spanning performance and education in the field of classical music. She is affiliated with orchestras in New England, including the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra and Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra.
- B.A. in Music Education from the University of Delaware
- M.M. in Bassoon Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music
Her research and performance focus centers on Bassoon Studies, Orchestral Studies, and Chamber Music, drawing from her extensive experience as a professional bassoonist and educator. She has performed internationally with renowned orchestras such as the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and National Radio Symphony of South Africa.
Currently, Ms. McGinnis freelances in the New England area, working with various orchestras and chamber groups. She also teaches at Wellesley College and the Joy of Music Program in Worcester, MA, contributing to music education alongside her performance career.
