Dr. Tracy Lyn Durksen is a Scientia Research Fellow and Senior Lecturer in Educational Psychology at the University of New South Wales. Her research focuses on transforming teacher education through interpersonal interactions, psychological characteristics like motivation, and adaptability. She leads projects such as the ARC Discovery Project on early childhood teacher development (2024-2027) and the Culturally Nourishing Schooling initiative in rural NSW (2022-present).

She employs mixed methods and has contributed to curriculum reform in NSW through projects like the Mathematics Growth Team and Ambassador Schools Research Centre. She supervises PhD, EdD, and Honours students in areas including teacher motivation, culturally responsive teaching, and STEM education. Scientific awards include the Dean's Award for Excellence in HDR Supervision (2023) and AERA's Springer Award (2017). She has secured over $3 million in grants, including ARC funding for early childhood teaching research and NSW Department of Education partnerships.
