Tracey A. Revenson is a Professor of Psychology at Hunter College and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY). She holds a BA from Yale University, a PhD from New York University, and postdoctoral training from the University of California, Irvine. Her research focuses on stress, coping, and social support processes in chronic illness contexts, emphasizing gender, race/ethnicity, and socioeconomic factors. She is Editor-in-Chief of the Annals of Behavioral Medicine and a Past-President of the Society for Health Psychology. Her work spans over 200 publications, including seminal books like the Handbook of Health Psychology and Becoming a Health Psychologist. She leads the CHiC Lab, which explores psychosocial adaptation in families facing illnesses such as cancer and rheumatoid arthritis.
