Dr. Tori Lee Averett serves as Department Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance at Troy University, where she also holds the position of Assistant Dean for the College of Communication and Fine Arts. Her work emphasizes collaboration and integration across artistic disciplines, education, and community engagement.
Research interests focus on arts integration strategies, interdisciplinary approaches to multicultural arts, and promoting diversity and inclusion through arts education. She leads multiple initiatives including the Summer Spotlight performing arts series, Summer Arts Academy in Italy, and Pied Pipers children's theatre troupe.
