Elizabeth Argus serves as a Musical Theatre Voice Instructor in the Theatre Arts & Dance department of the School of Music & Theatre Professions at Loyola University New Orleans' College of Music and Media. With over 30 years of professional experience, she is a renowned performer and educator in the New Orleans arts community.
Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music/Vocal Performance from Newcomb College of Tulane University and a Master of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre, Choreography, and Music Analysis from Tulane University.
Ms. Argus' professional interests encompass musical theatre performance, vocal instruction, choral conducting, theatrical directing, and choreography. She has extensive experience teaching fine arts, choral performance, theatre, and AP Music Theory, most notably as the director of the music program at Cabrini High School for 15 years.
She has been honored with multiple Big Easy Theatrical Awards for her stage performances.
Throughout her career, Ms. Argus has performed in over thirty productions at venues including Tulane Summer Lyric Theatre, Le Petit Théâtre Du Vieux Carré, and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra as a guest soloist. She was also a founding associate artist of the Tulane Summer Shakespeare Festival and has appeared with the Utah Shakespeare Festival.
