David Kaye is a Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of New Hampshire (UNH), where he has served since 1996 and held the role of Chair from 2012-2017. He is also the Artistic Director of Power Play Interactive Development, an applied theatre company, and co-founder of WildActs, UNH's social justice theatre troupe.
Education:
- B.S. in Communications from Castleton State College
- M.F.A. in Acting, Directing, and Theatrical Production from Brandeis University
David's research and practice focus on applied/interactive theatre for social justice, integrating psychodrama and clown/commedia techniques to address societal issues. His recent publications emphasize bias intervention, community engagement, and theatre-based strategies for social change, aligning with his workshops at national and international conferences.
