Dr. Tomás Irish is an Associate Professor of History in the School of Culture and Communication at Swansea University. He specializes in twentieth-century European history, with a focus on the cultural history of the First World War, interwar internationalism, and the role of intellectuals in global conflicts. His recent publications include the monograph Feeding the Mind: Humanitarianism and the Reconstruction of European Intellectual Life, 1919–1933 (Cambridge University Press, 2023) and two ongoing research projects on postwar cultural reparations and educational reconstruction during the Second World War.
