Professor Tomer Broude is the Dean of the Faculty of Law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and holds the Bessie and Michael Greenblatt QC Chair in Public and International Law. He specializes in international trade, investment, human rights, and dispute resolution. He has served as Academic Director of the Minerva Center for Human Rights and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Law.
His research focuses on public international law, international economic law, and cultural diversity. He has published in journals such as International Organization, European Journal of International Law, and Journal of International Economic Law.
He is an Editor of the Journal of International Dispute Settlement and a General Editor of the Cambridge University Press CITEL series. He co-founded the Society of International Economic Law and served on its Executive Council.
Appointments include arbitrator roles in the Xi'an Arbitration Commission, WTO dispute panels, and Canada’s NAFTA Chapter 19 roster. He has been a Senior Fellow at Melbourne Law School and a Distinguished Fellow at the University of Toronto’s Munk School.
Teaching affiliations include the University of Toronto, University of Virginia, UCLA, and others. He advocates for the rule of law and international legal frameworks in global affairs.
