Tom Knight is a Senior Lecturer at Leeds Law School, Leeds Beckett University. He has a background in legal practice, qualifying as a solicitor in 2009 after training at a family law firm. His career transitioned to academia, where he lectured in core LL.B subjects at Bradford College University Centre and became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He currently leads modules in Applied Criminal Law, Contract Law, and Corporate and Business Law.
His research focuses on the GDPR regime, exploring the concept of 'fairness' in personal data usage and contractual implications for consumer expectations. Tom is also pursuing a PhD in this area. He has contributed articles on practical legal applications to the Cilex Journal.
