Tom Fahey

Professor Tom Fahey is a leading academic in primary care medicine and public health, currently serving as Professor of General Practice at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). He holds editorial roles at prestigious journals like BMJ Open and has extensive experience on international funding panels. His research focuses on safe medication use, clinical prediction rules, and primary care outcomes, with over 580 publications. He leads the HRB Centre for Primary Care Research and has secured €42 million in research funding. Fahey has supervised 16 PhDs, 3 MDs, and 22 master's students, and teaches research methods to clinical academics.
