Tom Burns

Tom Burns is a University Teaching Fellow and Associate Teaching Professor in the Centre for Teaching Enhancement at London Metropolitan University. His work focuses on innovative staff professional development in teaching, learning, and assessment design.

He leads core modules in the Learning and Teaching in Higher Education PGCert/MA programs and researches widening participation, creative curriculum design, and liberatory educational practices. His publications explore collaborative teaching methodologies and digital equity in education.

Burns co-founded the Association for Learning Development in Higher Education and develops online resources like the Study Hub and Take5 website to support academic communities.
