John Desire (JD) is a Senior Lecturer at London Metropolitan University, where he has been affiliated since 1996 as an undergraduate. He currently works within the Centre for Teaching Enhancement (CTE), focusing on professional development for staff in blended learning, technology integration, and aligning practices with Education for Social Justice (ESJ) and decolonizing the curriculum. He holds a BSc (2:1 Hons) in Computer Science from London Met (2001) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Authority (FHEA).

Research Interests: JD’s work emphasizes enhancing teaching practices through technology, fostering inclusive education, and digital literacy. He has contributed to EU projects, such as a 2014 initiative in Romania to improve student engagement. His efforts in widening participation include roles like Project Coordinator for the College of London and eTutor for the College Links programme, supporting excluded Year 10/11 pupils.
