Todd E. Ranney is a Professor in the Department of Music, Theatre and Dance Education. His career spans both academia and professional opera performance, with extensive experience as a baritone and artistic director.

As a performer, he has appeared in over 100 productions across the Midwest, including roles like Figaro, Don Giovanni, and Marcello. He has collaborated with major orchestras such as the Cleveland Orchestra and Akron Symphony, and served as founding Artistic Director of Akron Lyric Opera Theatre.
His educational contributions focus on vocal training, opera production, and interdisciplinary arts education. He has directed operas for institutions like Wooster Symphony and Summit Choral Society, emphasizing community engagement and classical repertoire.
