Catherine Robison-Ranney is an Instructor in the Department of Music, Theatre and Dance at Mansfield University. With a career spanning 35 years, she has performed professionally with opera companies such as The Cleveland Opera, Ohio Light Opera, and Symphony Orchestras in Akron, Canton, and Cleveland. She supervises student teachers at Mansfield University and substitute teaches in the Wellsboro/Mansfield area.
- Bachelor of Music in Performance and Music Education from Miami University
- Masters of Music in Performance from the University of Akron
Her research interests focus on music education, vocal performance, and choral conducting. Robison-Ranney has extensive experience in operatic roles, including Gilda in Rigoletto, Marianne in The New Moon, and Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus. She collaborates with her husband Todd E. Ranney in musical recitals across the Midwest.
Professional affiliations include membership in the Ohio Music Educators Association, American Choral Directors Association, National Association of Teachers of Singing, and Actors Equity. Previously, she served as High School Choral Director in Berea City Schools for 35 years before retiring in 2017.
