Todd Wieczorek

Todd Wieczorek serves as Assistant Professor and Voice Division Coordinator at Western University's Don Wright Faculty of Music, bringing extensive professional experience as a baritone performer to his academic role. His career spans collaborations with major opera companies including Lyric Opera of Kansas City, American Opera Theater, and international ensembles in Italy.

Educational background includes a BMus in Voice Performance from Wheaton College’s Conservatory of Music, MMus from University of Kansas, and DM from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music. His performance repertoire features diverse roles from Mozart’s Don Giovanni to Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd across North American and European stages.

Dr. Wieczorek's academic work centers on vocal performance training with specialized expertise in opera, German Lieder, and lyric diction (Italian/German). His pedagogical approach has produced students who perform in major opera houses and participate in prestigious young artist programs internationally, reflecting his commitment to developing professional vocal artists.

He actively shapes the academic community through coordination of the Fridays@12:30 Concert Series and Western Performs Series in partnership with the School for Advanced Studies in Arts and Humanities, while maintaining an active role as guest clinician and adjudicator for vocal competitions and training programs.
