Dr. Todd Duhamel is a Red River Métis citizen and Professor in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management at the University of Manitoba. He also serves as Principal Investigator for the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences at the St. Boniface General Hospital Albrechtsen Research Centre. Additionally, he holds the role of Associate Vice-President (Indigenous) – Research and Academic at the University of Manitoba.
Dr. Duhamel earned his PhD in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo (2007) and completed postdoctoral training in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Manitoba (2008). His research focuses on the role of physical activity in preventing and treating frailty and cardiovascular disease. He is currently accepting applications for Undergraduate Research Award students but is not seeking graduate students.
His affiliations include the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management, the Albrechtsen Research Centre, and roles in Indigenous academic leadership.
