Stephanie Chesser, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management. Her research focuses on aging, health equity, and leisure studies, with particular attention to citizen science initiatives and marginalized populations. She holds a PhD in Recreation and Leisure Studies (specializing in aging, health, and well-being) from the University of Waterloo and completed postdoctoral work at the University of Manitoba’s Centre on Aging. Dr. Chesser has taught at the university level since 2011, emphasizing interprofessional collaboration and community-engaged research.
