Todd Bonheyo is a Lecturer in the Department of Information Technology Mathematics within the School of Science, Technology, Accessibility, Mathematics, and Public Health (STAMP) at Gallaudet University. He holds a B.A. in Mathematics (2016) from Gallaudet and an M.S. in Data Analytics (2018) from Slippery Rock University. His teaching focuses on courses like Information Technology Fundamentals, Programming Fundamentals, Precalculus, and Statistics for Science & IT. He actively advises undergraduate students, with advising loads ranging from 7-15 students per term since 2019.
Dr. Bonheyo has contributed to initiatives such as the Visual-Centric Teaching and Learning Project, the STAMP Summer Bridge Program, and the development of the Minor in Data Science. He received the 2020 Excellence in Teaching and Learning with Technology Award for his pedagogical innovations. His work emphasizes accessibility in STEM education for deaf and hard-of-hearing students, including collaborations on bilingual teaching strategies and visual-centric methodologies.
He has served on committees related to General Education, Faculty Athletics, and institutional projects like the VEE Summer Workgroup. His professional development contributions include resources on classroom management and curriculum design for deaf learners.
