Tobias Teutenberg

Dr. Tobias Teutenberg is a Research Associate at the Weddigen Department of Bibliotheque Hertziana. He studied art history and philosophy at the Universities of Kassel, Munich, Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, Augsburg, and École normale supérieure in Paris.

• Previous affiliations: Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich (assistant professor/research assistant), Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte Munich, and University of Zurich (SNF project fellow)

His research focuses on:

• Blindness in Art History: Institutional responses to visual disability in art since 1800
• Geometrical Formalism and its role in art theory
• Transnational Art Historiography and Critical Disability Studies
• Historical Perzeptology in art education
