Matthias Noell

Matthias Noell is a Professor at the Design Faculty of Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle since 2010, concurrently serving as Vice Dean since 2014. He holds a doctoral degree (1997) and post-doctoral qualification (2008) from ETH Zurich. His academic journey includes roles as interim professor at Leipzig University, private lecturer and academic assistant at ETH Zurich, and affiliations with the German Center for Art History in Paris and the Brandenburg State Office for Monument Preservation.

His creative output is showcased in exhibitions like ghost poem (Textile Arts) and Formen der Anpassung at GRASSI Museum, emphasizing intersections between art, design, and societal contexts.
