Tobias Chlan

Tobias Chlan is a doctoral candidate at the Chair of Circuit Design (Prof. Ralf Brederlow) at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). He holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from TUM, with a focus on analog/mixed-signal circuit design and semiconductor technology. Born in Vienna, he studied at a technical high school in Austria before pursuing higher education in Munich. He has gained experience as a software engineer (C++, Python), tutor, and scientific assistant at LSE.

Research Interests: His work emphasizes ultra-low-power 32kHz oscillators using quartz and MEMS resonators, capacitive sensing for medical exoskeletons in MRI environments (focusing on capacitive-digital converters), and magnetic field sensing under mechanical/thermal stress. His research bridges analog circuit design, sensor systems, and biomedical applications.
