Tina Post is an Associate Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at the University of Chicago. Her interdisciplinary work bridges Creative Writing, Theater and Performance Studies, and the Center for the Study of Race, Politics, and Culture.
- Education: Ph.D. from Yale University (2018), MFA from University of Alaska–Anchorage (2005)
Her research focuses on memoir, lyric essays, and racial embodiment, often exploring the intersection of Black aesthetics and performative communication. Recent publications include the book Deadpan: The Aesthetics of Black Inexpression (2023) and essays interrogating Black performance, minimialism, and racialized affect.

She teaches courses in lyric nonfiction and contemporary Black drama, emphasizing experimental writing techniques and interdisciplinary scholarship. Her work often hybridizes poetic form with academic discourse to challenge traditional narrative structures.
