Timothy Steele is an Associate Professor of Music at Calvin University, specializing in musicology with a focus on Renaissance Latin psalmody and 20th-century Hungarian adaptations of Genevan Psalmody. He teaches music history and theory, and actively engages in early music performance, directing the Calvin University Collegium Musicum and the Early Music Ensemble of Grand Rapids. His research bridges musicological scholarship with Christian theological perspectives, evident in his roles as founder of the Society for Christian Scholarship in Music and co-author of Teaching and Christian Imagination.
