Timothy Penner is an Instructor in English at The University of Winnipeg, specializing in film studies, academic writing, and trauma literature. He holds a PhD in film and literature from the University of Manitoba.
His research examines cinematic representations of celebrity personae, Catholicism in Western films, and trauma narratives. Forthcoming publications analyze Robert Redford's star persona in The Old Man & the Gun and Catholic themes in Lilies of the Field and Corpus Christi.
