William Boyd is an Honorary Fellow of Jesus College, Oxford, and an alumnus who earned a DPhil in English Literature there in 1975. Formerly a Lecturer in English Literature at St. Hilda’s College, Oxford (1980–83), he is renowned as an award-winning author and screenwriter. His works include novels like A Good Man in Africa and Any Human Heart, which have garnered accolades such as the Whitbread Award and BAFTA. Boyd’s screenwriting spans films like Chaplin and adaptations of his own novels, including the BAFTA-winning Any Human Heart (2010).
