Timothy Michael Kusky is a Professor and Changjiang Scholar at the China University of Geosciences, Wuhan, and an Adjunct Professor at Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. He has held numerous academic positions, including Founding Director of the Center for Environmental Sciences at Saint Louis University and P. C. Reinert Endowed Professor of Natural Sciences at Saint Louis University.

Kusky's research focuses on Precambrian tectonics, structural geology, and geological hazards, with significant contributions to understanding Archaean plate tectonics through high-pressure metamorphic studies. He has been a highly cited scientist since 2015 and listed in Stanford's Top 2% Scientists since 2022.
