Timothy H. Holtz is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Hubert Department of Global Health at Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health. His work focuses on tuberculosis (TB), HIV/AIDS, and health equity. He has held clinical and research roles globally, including in India, South Africa, Thailand, and southern Africa. A physician and preventive medicine specialist, he has contributed to defining XDR TB and improving MDR TB treatment access through the Green Light Committee. He co-edits the Textbook of International Health and authored a medical memoir on Tibetan refugees.

His recent work includes collaborations with the Indian Ministry of Health to expand HIV care and reduce stigma, and past leadership in HIV prevention trials in Thailand targeting high-risk populations.
