Professor Timothy Brittain-Catlin is an architect and architectural historian at the University of Cambridge, Department of Architecture. He has taught for many years, with a focus on Victorian architecture and domestic/historic building studies. Previously at the University of Kent (2007-2020), he twice won teaching awards for innovative team teaching.
- Key research areas: Victorian domestic architecture, A.W.N. Pugin studies, Edwardian house analysis, and architectural criticism.
- Published works include The English Parsonage in the Early Nineteenth Century (2008) and The Edwardians and their Houses (2020).
Scientific Awards:
- Faculty of Humanities teaching award (University of Kent, twice won)
- Member of Historic England’s national Advisory Committee
