Timothy Orwig is a part-time faculty member in Art History at Boston College's Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in American and New England Studies from Boston University, alongside M.A. degrees in Historic Preservation Studies and English Literature. His research focuses on historic preservation movements in New England, including architectural responses to poverty and Boston Modernism. He actively contributes to preservation efforts through organizations like Sioux Landmark and has nominated over two dozen sites to the National Register of Historic Places.

Publications: Books include Remembering Boston and Morningside College at 125 Years, with articles focusing on preservation case studies and architectural history. Current projects include a book on Joseph Everett Chandler's architectural legacy.
Affiliations: Served as Preservation Chair for the New England Chapter of the Society of Architectural Historians and board member of the Vernacular Architecture Forum—New England Chapter.
