Lisa Cuklanz is a Professor and Director of Women's and Gender Studies in the Communication Department at Boston College. She has been affiliated with the university since 1991, teaching courses such as Rhetorical Theory, Gender and Media, and Film Studies. Internationally, she has taught in Bordeaux, Rome, Venice, and Hong Kong. As a Fulbright Scholar in Hong Kong and a Harvard Law School Fellow, she focuses on media representations of violence, news framing, and critical methodologies.
