Megan Crotty is a Doctoral Candidate and Irish Studies Fellow at Boston College, affiliated with the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of English. Her research focuses on empire, nationalism, and gender in Irish and Commonwealth literature, with a particular emphasis on gendered violence in postcolonial spaces and trauma representation in contemporary Irish women's novels. She has held prestigious fellowships, including the Clough Center Graduate Fellowship (2019–2022) and the Dalsimer Dissertation Fellowship.
- Education: B.A. in English and Dance (University of Massachusetts Boston), M.A. in English (Boston College)
Teaching and Academic Engagement: Taught courses at Boston College, MCPHS University, and Middlesex Community College. Organized major conferences such as 'Towards Transitional Justice' (2018) and co-founded 'Comhfhios Boston College: An Irish Studies Conference' (2022). Established the first-generation graduate student support group in English and History via an Institute for Liberal Arts grant.
