Timothée Schmoderer is an Associate Professor in Automatic Control at Polytech Orléans, part of the PRISME Laboratory at the University of Orléans. He holds an engineering degree from INSA Rouen Normandie and dual Master's degrees from Sorbonne Université (Paris VI) and Normandie Université. His PhD (2022) focused on nonlinear control systems under quadratic constraints, advised by Witold Respondek and Emmanuel Trélat. Postdoc work (2023) at Inria DISCO explored time-delay system stabilization.
Research interests span nonlinear control theory, time-delay systems, motion planning algorithms, and medical imaging (MRI reconstruction). Key contributions include classification of quadratic control systems, symmetry-based control system analysis, and regularization of motion planning methods. Recent work emphasizes partial pole placement in delay systems and stabilization techniques.
His publications (15 recent) address topics like real spectral value distribution in delay systems, homotopy continuation for motion planning, and MRI reconstruction via optical flow learning. He collaborates with Inria, CentraleSupélec, and Cambridge University.
Mentoring includes Ahmad Ramadan's master's thesis leading to a journal publication. Administrative roles include PhD student representation in laboratory and doctoral school governance.
